Most luxury candles, ours included, are poured into ceramic. The Cleopatra is different. Its vessel is hand-sculpted glass, and the entire interior is lined with genuine 24K gold by an artisan. We could line it by machine and make it uniform, but we do it by hand on purpose. 

 

What that leaves behind is a set of natural imperfections, tiny variations in the gold, and between them the most minuscule cracks. Let it burn a little, and those small imperfections come alive, throwing a pattern of light across the inside of the vessel that no two candles share. It is the kind of detail a machine cannot give you, and it is the reason each one feels like its own piece. You can see exactly where the money went the moment it begins to glow.
