Inspiration Behind the Name
Cleopatra, the co-regent ruler of Egypt for almost three decades, was known for her fanaticism of emeralds. Her love and admiration for the stones was so strong that she even claimed an emerald mine from the Greeks near the Red Sea and had people dedicate their lives to finding these jewels. Needless to say, Cleopatra was obsessed with emeralds...
The ruler made sure to adorn herself with these gems, as Egyptians believed emeralds were a symbol of fertility and immortality. But here’s a fun fact, not only did Cleopatra wear and decorate her palace with emeralds, she also gave the stones out as gifts to foreign dignitaries! It’s said that this was a way for her to display power and wealth, but like… can we talk about these party favors…
The rich history tied to these gems, and how their legacy has lived on for thousands of years, is the inspiration behind our emerald green glass candle lined with 24K gold. If you’re looking to adorn your home with the same elegance that Cleopatra decorated her palace, well… here you are. If you’re looking to give a gift à la Cleopatra, well… here you are.
This piece is meant to be passed down for generations and to be kept on display once the candle burns through and all you can see is the 24K gold reflecting elegance throughout YOUR palace.
